Jayadin sits at her desk, the roll of parchment before her, ink and quill beside her hand as she ponders basic rules for the pack. Firelight gleams off of her pitch black hair, illuminating her slight frown. Finally, after several minutes, she picks up the quill and starts to write in common so all members of the pack will be able to understand.
We are a pack, a single unit. We will not act as independent people when the pack is threatened by some unknown force, but react as a trained team of hunters. We are the balancers, when one great nation becomes too powerful, we will work for those who are lesser. There is nothing but survival and balance, pack members may believe as they wish, they will not be prosecuted for their religious beliefs, and nor will they prosecute others outside the pack. They shall be accepted for what they can bring to the pack, be it healing, protection, or land. Everyone shall be respected within the pack for the rank they have earned, be it alpha, beta, or Hunter. All have earned their rank in the Alpha’s eyes.
Non-combatants
Non-combatants are those from Pack mate down, excluding the Omegas. They are expected to not participate in combat, due to being either parents, unskilled in battle, or healers. They will assist pack hunters and up however in organized hunting raids ((groups))
Combatants
Combatants are those of the rank Pack Hunter and up, including Omegas. They are expected to protect the non-combatants and fall under the leadership of the Alpha regardless of mortality or were race. They are also expected to regularly train non-combatants in battle techniques, such as sword play, especially adolescents.
Leadership
The alpha’s leadership may be fought for should a Beta, or a Beta Superior believe they could lead the pack in a better fashion, a challenge of dominance, with a dominance fight is expected and required to challenge the current alpha, Jayadin D’Angelanu for leadership. Only a beta, beta superior or Pack Hunter may challenge the Alpha.
Pack members are expected to come to the Beta, Beta Superior or Alpha herself with any information regarding vampire covens or hostile movements, they are not to go off alone and will be punished for doing so at the digression of whatever leader is awake ((online)) at the time of the incident.
Pack members who steal kills from people not of the pack will be punished by leadership, no exceptions.
Pack members caught lying to leadership about important matters ((ooc drama)) shall be reprimanded ((privately)) and given some form of punishment to compensate the pack for their lies. ((most likely icly, writs, HQs, ooc drama WILL be punished icly in this form, and only this form, no one will be demoted from their current ranks, or reprimanded publically out of character about what they’ve done, instead they will be assigned icly a task to make up for it and promote guild unity and RP))
Guild matters
Leadership is to be obeyed, however…there is a point where leadership itself goes too far, this is why the leadership of the pack will have three members starting outwith, a Beta, a Beta Superior and the Alpha. The betas are the Alpha’s seconds and will be obeyed as if they are the Alpha herself in her absence.
Writs: Writs are a form of punishment in some cases, or a test for promotion or to let the leadership of the pack know that you are happy within the family and wish to see it prosper, this is the ((players)) person’s choice. Unless punished.
Leadership expects some form of participation from everyone ((even alts)) in either the form of small raiding parties to help non-combatants learn battle techniques, the research of legendary items, ((HQs)) or city tasks ((writs)) If leadership believes you are slacking you will be pulled aside for a private meeting with the Alpha, beta and Beta superiors, as the pack leaders to explain your reasons for not pulling your weight.
Once a pack member, always a pack member. ((leadership will NOT kick anyone that has RL issues to deal with, or even you disappear for weeks on end, you will remain in the guild and it will be said that you are on assignment if you provide no reason for your absence))
